Known for creating her own unique moulds, Karen Davies gave us a sneak peak at some of her upcoming creations as well as demonstrating different ways to use some of her current moulds. It was here that I found my ideal wedding cake (a girl can dream early), based on one of her new lace moulds Karen had displayed a replica of the cake she created for her daughter’s wedding. Simply breathtaking!
I was again amazed at the simple techniques Karen used such texturing a bears fur or ducks feathers. A very effective finishing touch that turns the overall look from cartoon to realistic animal. It was simply wonderful to pick up these little tips along the way!
